Introductions, Workspace, Work in Progress and Finished Product

So I figure I should start my first official post with a little bit about me.  First off my miniature war-gaming.  I have been playing WH40k since I was 18.  When I started it was 3rd edition rules at the time.  Since then a lot has changed.  I played in some small local tournaments and one off friendly games, but nothing too big.  I also got in to WHFB for a while as well.  More recently I have started playing X-wing too.  I also used to play MTG and D&D, plus some other rpgs.  Over the years I have gotten a family and have drifted away from the more social aspects of gaming and more focused on painting 40k.  I have had a lot of different 40k armies over the years but Blood Angels and Dark Eldar have stuck with me the whole time.  Because of 6th edition I start widen my collection, by adding Chaos Space Marines and Dark Angels from the starter box.  That was followed by Daemons and Astra Militarum.  I also had to get a knight titan because they are just so awesome.  Even though I don't get many chances to play I still get the rule books as well.  I plan on adding to my already diverse collection by possibly adding Grey Knights, Sons of Medusa space marines and Eldar.

So after that history I figured I would start with a little bit of showing off... of my workspace that is.

First off, sorry about the glare from the lamp about my painting area.  I'm still trying to figure the program I am running all my pictures through.  What you cant see off screen is my bits container and another mountain of sprues, most of which just need to have extras clipped from them.  I also have an airbrush and compressor set up above the top of the desk but I need a new one.  The airbrush needs to be replaced though.  Something about not being taken care of properly that it didn't like.

Now for the actual painting area itself.  I have a lot of projects on the go.  On the table right now I have a knight titan, Belakor, some cultists, Blood Angels and Dark Eldar.  I am slowly trying to work through stacks of sprues and assembled models.  On my gaming table I have four or five boxes of minatures that are assembled and in various stages of being painted.

Every post I do, as a way to (hopefully) encourage myself I will post at least one recently finished model, plus one model for my previously painted miniatures.  I kind of cheated with this post though and posted a few more angles of my scratch built Cypher

For my blast for the past this week I am going to show my Lemartes that I painted a while ago.  This model I bought when the Blood Angels got the redo for 5th edition.  I love the look of him even if I have never had him in many games.

So there you have it folks, my first of many Tuesday posts.
